THE ROLE
Join AMD's dynamic Global Events Team as an Event Planning and Coordination Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering impactful corporate events that showcase AMD's cutting-edge technology and innovation. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external partners to bring events to life-from conception to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, global environment, supporting high-profile events that engage customers, partners, and AMD executives. You will gain hands‑on experience with industry‑leading event management tools like Cvent and contribute to the strategic execution of events that shape AMD's brand presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with clients to understand event objectives and requirements
Support planning and execution of AMD-hosted corporate events from start to finish
Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and project plans
Utilize Cvent software for event registration, attendee communication, and onsite check‑in
Coordinate with internal teams, venues, and suppliers to deliver impactful experiences
Research and identify suitable venues in collaboration with agency partners
Source and manage vendor relationships including catering, AV, and transportation
Monitor budgets and reconcile financial transactions with vendors
Provide onsite support during events for setup, registration, and execution
Address and resolve issues during events to ensure positive attendee experiences
Conduct post‑event surveys and analyze feedback and performance metrics
Report outcomes and insights to stakeholders to inform future planning
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in event management with a focus on corporate events and conferences
Proficiency in Cvent and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to coordinate events across time zones and cultures
Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
Effective problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills under pressure
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, marketing, or related field preferred
