We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nursing Home Cook to join our team at Springvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a leading senior care provider in Croton-On-Hudson, NY. As a key member of our dietary team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, well-being, and satisfaction of our residents by preparing delicious and nutritious meals.
Nursing Home Cook Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of meals for residents, including special dietary needs and preferences
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to high standards of sanitation and safety
Collaborate with our culinary team to develop menus and recipes that meet resident preferences and dietary needs
Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies and ingredients as needed
Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices
Nursing Home Cook Requirements:
Prior experience in a similar role preferred
Ability to lift, bend, and move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
