Job descriptionHigh school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred 4–6 years of maintenance or production management experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems Proven leadership and people-management skills Experience implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and OSHA safety standards Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CMMS / ERP systems Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to multiple shifts as needed Comfortable working in varying temperatures and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability
- Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and ensure adherence to safety rules, GMPs, and food safety standards
- Coordinate daily maintenance schedules and partner with operations to minimize downtime
- Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability
- Conduct safety and compliance audits, implementing corrective actions where needed
- Collaborate with production, QA, and engineering teams to support operational goals
- Track and analyze KPIs such as OEE, yield variance, and downtime performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, 5S, and root-cause analysis
- Manage staffing plans, training, and performance development for the maintenance team
- Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process optimization initiatives
