Big Leap, a leader in performance-driven digital marketing, is expanding our capabilities in earned media, and were looking for a senior leader to drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of our Digital PR services.
As the head of Digital PR, youll play a key role in shaping and scaling our earned media offering. This includes overseeing team performance, building systems and processes, innovating service delivery, and ensuring Digital PR is deeply aligned with SEO, content, and performance marketing strategies across the agency.
Success in this role means building a repeatable, world-class Digital PR service that delivers measurable brand visibility, search impact, and thought leadership for our clients, while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Align Big Leaps positioning and messaging with our clients goals to develop Digital PR strategies that support both visibility and performance
- Provide strategic leadership and innovation across all areas of Digital PR, including outreach, link acquisition, media placement, and earned storytelling
- Guide the development of scalable campaign frameworks, process documentation, and best practices for consistent delivery across clients
- Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO, content, paid media, creative, and client success teams to ensure Digital PR integrates into broader digital strategies
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of PR specialists and strategists, supporting their professional development and daily execution
- Represent Digital PR in client-facing conversations, contributing to strategy, results interpretation, and account growth opportunities
- Own product-level reporting, including KPIs related to media coverage, backlinks, brand mentions, and organic performance impact
- Identify new channels, tools, or trends (such as influencer engagement or AI-powered media research) that improve outcomes for clients
- Support new business efforts by contributing to sales strategy, collateral, and client proposals
- Continuously evaluate and evolve internal tools, workflows, and training to improve team efficiency and campaign effectiveness

The Director of Digital PR will work across departments and client accounts to drive earned media strategy, quality, and innovation. While no two days look exactly the same, you can expect to :
Report on service-level KPIs and goalsCoordinate cross-functional strategy for PR campaigns tied to SEO, PPC, brand, and performanceGuide client services and fulfillment teams on best practices, messaging, and new opportunitiesPartner with Sales and Product to evolve how we package and position Digital PRProvide mentorship and oversight on client work, from campaign planning to pitch developmentLead internal discussions to evolve our earned media approach in line with industry trendsContribute to high-impact client relationships and strategy conversationsThis Role Might Be a Fit If You Have :
5+ years of experience in digital PR, including media outreach, content promotion, or SEO-focused link buildingAt least 2 years in a leadership or team management roleA background in agency or fast-paced client environmentsA deep understanding of how Digital PR intersects with SEO, brand strategy, and performance marketingProven experience securing high-quality media coverage, podcast placements, or editorial linksStrong ability to develop processes, mentor teams, and drive repeatable success at scaleExceptional writing, communication, and strategic thinking skillsComfortable presenting in client meetings and contributing to executive-level discussionsFamiliarity with tools like Muck Rack, BuzzStream, media monitoring platforms, or CRM (e.g., HubSpot)Bonus : Experience working with influencers or integrating PR into performance-driven campaigns
