Full-time PMHNP in Bangor, Maine

Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking an experienced , board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) to join our skilled Behavioral Health Consultation Services team. This dynamic team provides consultation services to 20 emergency departments and 18 inpatient units across the state of Maine.

Details & Responsibilities :

• Shifts are on-site as needed at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME with tele-psych services to other locations as needed
• Monday-Friday, 11a-7p
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team with a designated psychiatrist, two other PMHNPs, clinical social workers, counselors, and discharge planners
• Independently see patients throughout their hospital or ED stay, determine next steps for psychiatric care, and complete assessments for psychiatric medications during and after their stay
• Provide recommendations to attending physicians and collaborate on treatment plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounding, patient case reviews, and family team meetings
