Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dining Room Manager to manage all front-of-house operations, uphold service standards, and deliver memorable guest experiences. You will lead the FOH team, collaborate closely with kitchen and bar, and ensure that guests receive consistent, high-quality hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the front-of-house staff (hosts, servers, bartenders, bussers) through training, coaching, scheduling.
Oversee guest flow : reservation management, seating, managing waitlists, coordination across sections.
Ensure that service standards are consistently met : timing, presentation, guest interactions.
Maintain ambiance and readiness of the dining room (lighting, table settings, decor, cleanliness).
Handle guest feedback, resolve issues in real time, follow up on guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar to sync service timings, specials, menu changes, and ensure smooth communications.
Manage inventory and ordering of front-of-house supplies.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws / regulations.
Monitor financial performance : manage labor costs, monitor sales, suggest upsell / promotions where appropriate.
Participate in opening / closing procedures and ensuring shifts are properly staffed.
Qualifications
Strong FOH management experience (3+ years preferred) in upscale or boutique restaurant / lounge.
Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills.
High attention to detail; passion for hospitality and hospitality design / ambience.
Good understanding of reservation systems, POS software.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations; liquor laws if applicable.
