Job Title : Staff Engineer

Certerra is a consulting firm with more than 65 years of professional service in the southwestern United States in the fields of geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, construction materials engineering and testing, nondestructive testing, and welding inspection.

We have immediate full-time opportunities for a Staff Engineer in our Albuquerque, NM office. Certerra provides on-going training and the ability to gain valuable career experience and technical certifications.

Responsibilities include :

• Conduct field inspection and monitoring programs
• Advise on geological suitability of sites for construction
• Study the nature of ground and surface waters, soils, bedrock, and environmental effects for land use and planning
• Perform mapping, field, and laboratory testing and analysis
• Collect and oversee soil and rock sampling
• Assist in analysis of soil to determine engineering characteristics
• Inspect development sites and review engineering plans
• Assist in writing technical reports
