About The Position

Job Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist

License : Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

Must-Have : Strong OB experience; must be a team player; approved RTO must be added to the end of the contract

Description :

This is a 13-week assignment.

The shift time is from 0530 to 1800.

Registered Respiratory Therapists are responsible for providing, coordinating, and directing individualized comprehensive respiratory care to all patients based upon assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Accountable to the Cardiopulmonary Director.

In the absence of the Director, responsibility falls to the Lead RRT.

Once oriented, the RRT is expected to function with minimal supervision.

Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.

BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications must be maintained.

Practicing within the scope of practice of a Respiratory Care Practitioner is essential.

Preference for candidates with one year of current acute care experience, but new graduates may be considered.

Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds from floor to waist is necessary.

Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds from wheelchair to bed level.

Ability to lift five (5) pounds overhead.

Ability to pull fifty (50) pounds from stretcher to bed.

Ability to push one hundred fifty (150) pound loaded stretcher a distance of 300 feet.

Auditory ability to perform procedures and take accurate blood pressures is required.

Vision must be adequate to observe patients and perform charting procedures.

Ability to meet specific criteria for the Cardiopulmonary department is necessary.

Holiday coverage may be required.
