We are seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager at our downtown Cleveland, Ohio wealth management firm. This position will provide comprehensive investment portfolio support to the Private Client Group senior management team and their clients.
In this position you will :
- Be responsible for investment portfolio construction, implementation of strategy, and proactive portfolio oversight while maintaining the Clearstead Investment Philosophy
- Create complex investment analysis or modeling to support sophisticated investment clients
- Evaluate prospect investment data, leads the design of investment portfolio proposals, and collaborates with team members in a positive and passionate manner to win new business
- Maintain strong command of capital market dynamics and economic landscape, portfolio theory, market history and trends, and appreciation of individual investor behavioral traits
- Participate in Investment Research and Asset Allocation Committee meetings serving as a voting member on the Investment Committee
- Regularly communicate with Research Department on investment strategy
- Serve as the primary Clearstead point of contact for several clients carrying an investment focus, and support contact for clients receiving comprehensive services (Planning, Tax, Investments)
- Facilitate live investment portfolio reviews with current clients and prospects
- Communicate portfolio updates and rebalance initiatives to assigned clients as needed
- Follow the Clearstead approach of creating client meeting agendas / recaps or assisting in their preparation
- Develop advanced knowledge of clients through reading internal CRM notes, studying client files, and collaborating with team members
- Utilize and manage Tamarac Advisor View / Rebalancer software to analyze and manage client portfolios
- Review and assist in maintaining client databases and investment policy information to uphold data integrity
- Organize and track client assignments to efficiently manage work-load
- Assist with audit of client investment reports for accuracy and crafts impactful deliverables
- Use internal systems to manage work efforts and communicates effectively to drive consistent and professional client experiences
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
The successful candidate will have :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field; Master's degree preferredAdvanced designation (i.e., CFA, CFP, CAIA) strongly preferred5+ years of investment and financial market experience within a financial services institution; experience within a private wealth advisory setting preferredPassion for investmentsAbility to work under pressure, organize and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment where time management, attention to detail, follow-through and meeting deadlines are criticalDemonstrated analytical skillsStrong computer proficiency (e.g. Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook)Demonstrated client service skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbalStrong team player with the ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organizationCommitment to company valuesClearstead is committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from minorities and women.
