What is the Iowa State Daily Media Group?

We’re a student-run, professionally managed media company committed to providing excellent experiential learning opportunities for students at Iowa State University.

We’re made up of two student-run media companies :

• The Iowa State Daily  (the Iowa State University campus newspaper, est. 1890)
• Model Farm  (a creative services agency est. 2015)

This position will provide professional oversight of the videography department for Model farm, as well as providing videography services. Our clients include businesses, campus departments, and non-profits located throughout Iowa and the United States.

This Position

As we’ve grown over the past seven years, our videography work has grown immensely. We need someone capable of animation, on-location shoots, editing, voiceover and script work, and an expert at taking videos from start to finish.

This position also requires traveling around the state of Iowa and the U.S. around once per month for on-location shoots.

This position will also be overseeing a team of student videographers in providing conceptual ideas, feedback of their work, and hands-on editing.
