Responsible for 24 / 7 oversight and management of crisis intervention, assessment and referral services for persons with psychiatric disorders and their families. Also responsible for coordination and management of daily operations for mental health social work staff to facilitate a therapeutic treatment environment, cost-effective and timely discharge planning, and coordination of aftercare services with community partners and referral sources. Demonstrates high-level leadership accountability in assuring staff competency, financial responsibility, as well as enhancing Kaweah Health's mission and vision to achieve strategic priorities.
63 bed Mental Health Hospital. Patients are involuntary admits with chronic mental health concerns. Opening a new Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit with a census of 12.
QUALIFICATIONS
License / Certification
Required :
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT)
HeartSaver AED
Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire / transfer.
Experience
Required : Three years of clinical experience as an LCSW / LMFT in a health care setting.
Preferred : Supervisory experience

Provides adequate staff resources for delivery of safe, high-quality care :
Oversees staffing and scheduling to meet needs of population served and budgeted census. Interviews and hires new employees. Accountable for employee engagement, including attraction and appreciation of staff. Meets with staff at regular intervals to facilitate communication and enhance relationships. Role models expectation of staff participation in mental health service line project teams and safety initiatives (i.e., CUSP). Contributes to staff development by ensuring continuing education and in-services are available to staff. Facilitates supervision of hours necessary for non-licensed staff to meet licensure requirements. Participates in cost center budget preparation. Monitors and maintains cost center budget to meet financial goals.
