SUMMARY

The Grants & Research Assistant supports the Development team in securing funding to advance RBBB's mission. This role contributes through research, writing, and administrative support in the grant process. Depending on experience, the Assistant will help draft proposals or provide supporting materials, and may w ork closely with program, finance, and leadership staff to gather information needed for strong submissions.

This is a brand new position at Read Better Be Better, a part of growing development team and organizational expansion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research prospective funding opportunities and maintain records of upcoming deadlines.
• Support the preparation and submission of grant applications, including drafting, editing, or formatting proposal materials.
• Gather and organize information from staff across the organization (program data, budget information, narratives, etc.) for proposals and reports.
• Track grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and submission statuses.
• Maintain organized digital files and databases related to grants and development activities.
• Assist with other writing and research projects for the Development team as needed.
• Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

This is an in-person rol e. This position operate s primarily in a professional office setting, with occasional responsibilities at partner sites or events in the Greater Phoenix area . The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
