Job description
  • 3 FT MD need - 45 shifts / month to cover
  • BCEM or BE / BC IM / FM with PALS, ATLS and ACLS. 2 years experience in emergency medicine required.
  • Residency Trained requirements : EM, IM, FP w Emergency Medicine experienced / trained
  • 24 hrs single coverage MD / 12 hrs NPPA staffing model
  • MD shift times : 6a-6p, 6p-6a
  • NPPA shift time : 10a-10p
  • No Call
  • Annual Volume : 13,368
  • Patients per Day : 38
  • 17% EMS
  • 11% Admitted Patients
  • Level 3 Trauma
  • No Scribe Coverage
  • 5 ED beds
  • Backup Specialties : OB / GYN, Peds, Ortho, IM, Radiology, FP, Surgery - Most transfers go to Lake Charles and Lafayette
  • Ochsner EPIC EMR
  • 30-60 days credentialing timeframe with active LA licenses, clean file & expedited privilege request
  • Temp privs available with active LA license and clean files
  • Flu and other immunizations / waiver required
  • EMR Training and Orientation required
