Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the overall security-related needs of the location. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious activity according to site protocols. Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters as they arise. Complete required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities in a timely manner. Remain visible and approachable while on patrol to provide assistance and information to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed. At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Access control or badge experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
