As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of patients facing renal failure. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides exceptional care and carries out treatment protocols under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).
Your Responsibilities
- Patient Care : Deliver high-quality dialysis treatment by working directly with patients. Your tasks will include monitoring and gathering patient stats before and after treatments, initiating and terminating treatment sessions, and collecting blood samples as ordered by the physician.
- Technical Duties : Ensure safety and quality by preparing and disinfecting dialysis machines and performing routine safety checks while logging results for compliance with healthcare protocols.
- Safety and Compliance : Utilize personal protective equipment and maintain adherence to company policies and state / federal regulations under the supervision of a Charge Nurse. You will also participate in required staff meetings and continuous education programs.
This position is located at our Macon Clinton Clinic, situated at 280 Clinton St, Macon, GA 31217.
Your Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Passion for healthcare and patient care.Prior healthcare experience, including dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA, is advantageous.Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate as per protocols.Ability to distinguish all primary colors.Other Requirements
Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within the first 8 weeks of employment.CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.Patient Care Technician certification should be obtained through a state or nationally recognized certification program within 18 months of your hire date and maintained in good standing.Ready to Make an Impact?
