Summary of the Role
The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for leading teams in remediation and abatement projects, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably. This role includes direct involvement in job scheduling, customer communication, quality control, and overseeing project timelines. The Coordinator will act as a liaison between field staff, management, and customers while promoting a strong culture of safety and service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform and oversee remediation and abatement work in compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.Supervise Environmental Technicians in day-to-day operations, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback.Contact customers to confirm scheduling, provide updates, and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.Develop and maintain accurate job timelines; adjust schedules proactively to ensure timely completion of work.Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and labor utilization to ensure profitability.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in workflows, equipment use, and job-site practices.Ensure company vehicles, equipment, and PPE are used responsibly and maintained in safe working condition.Participate in on-call rotation and provide leadership during large emergency responses.Maintain excellent customer service and professionalism at all times.Complete required reports and documentation accurately and on time.Perform other supervisory duties as assigned.Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. – 4 : 00 p.m.Overtime as needed, including participation in on-call rotation.Working Conditions
Exposure to varied environments, including hot, cold, wet, dusty, or unsanitary conditions once deemed safe for occupancy.Work may occur in inclement weather year-round.Exposure to cleaning chemicals (primarily biodegradable and common cleaning products).Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, such as respirators, gloves, goggles, hard hats, Tyvek suits, and safety vests.Safety-Sensitive Role
