Responsibilities Work in a hospital Cardio-Pulmonary Med / Surg unit Care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients Night shifts from 7 : 00PM to 7 : 30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week Patient assessment, care plan development, and interventions for cardiac and pulmonary conditions Use of Epic as the electronic medical record system Responsible for medication administration, patient preparation for procedures, pain management, venipuncture, blood administration, and lab monitoring Complete discharge planning and provide patient education for safe transitions Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR and ensure care plan modifications as needed Participate in team huddles and professional communication with the care team No travel partners accepted for this assignment Time off requests are limited to seven days during the 13-week contract Returning employees may not exceed one year of continuous assignment and require a six-month break before returning Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required Level 1 Trauma experience in previous roles required Documented Epic charting experience required ASN required; BSN preferred Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618583.
