Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple substation structural projects, from large-scale to complex small-scale initiatives.Oversee the assessment, development, and execution of substation capital projects with financial and operational impact.Perform structural engineering design, calculations, and analysis, including foundations, structural members, and buildings.Review and stamp drawings, evaluate facilities, and lead CAD drafting support.Mentor junior engineers and lead technical training sessions for staff and partners.Define and execute engineering schedules, deliverables, and provide detailed reports and updates.Conduct site visits, inspections, and construction support.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including design contractors, permitting authorities, and construction teams.Ensure quality assurance and schedule compliance with field and construction teams.Travel within the service territory to support engineering tasks.Maintain security and integrity of sensitive data, including customer information and company assets.Required Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringActive PE (Civil) or SE License in CaliforniaMinimum 5 years in structural consulting engineeringValid Class C Drivers LicenseNice-to-Have Experience
5+ years in technical design for electrical substation projects5+ years working with civil / structural codes such as ASCE 7, ACI 318, CBC, AISC 360, IEEE 6933+ years of experience with CAD modification and draftingRequired Skills
