About The Position

Travel ICU RN is needed for 13 weeks to start in a facility in Tennessee. TN or compact license is required. 2 years of experience is required. ACLS, and BLS are required. 6 -12 hour shifts, 6 : 45-7 : 15, (72 hours biweekly) Weekend / Call requirements : Every other weekend Specialty Area : Critical Care - CVICU, Medical Critical Care, Neuro Critical Care, and Trauma Surgical Intensive Care Unit Experience requirements : Minimum of 2 years (preference given to candidates with 5+) Critical Care experience in similar Acute Care Hospital Settings. Such as :

• Level 1 Trauma Centers
• Establish Academic Medical Centers
• 350+ beds
• Multiple Medical and Surgical Service Lines Skill / competency requirements : Candidates should possess robust experience and validated competencies in caring for highly acute patient populations within a critical care and / or specialty Intensive Care Unit. Desired Skill set / experience expectations to include, but not limited to the following :
• Please note the following list should be considered a reference regarding skill set and competency, with understanding that certain skills, equipment, and procedures are specialty specific.
• Vasoactive gtt management
• Ventilator management
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Invasive line management
• Advanced pharmacological knowledge / experience
• Experience in assisting the Physician with bedside and / or emergent procedures
• ECMO
• Rotoprone
• IABP
• Impella
• CVVHD
• Post CABG
• CRRT
• Hypothermia protocols
• Level 1 Massive Transfusion Infusers
• ICP monitors Licensure : Active and unencumbered Registered Nurses with compatible compact agreements in place with TN Certifications :
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• CCRN – preferred Nurse to patient ratios : Goal is 2 : 1, but may flex to 3 : 1 or 1 : 1 based on patient acuity. Charting System : Cerner Floating : Expected to meet the needs and volumes of the organization. Assignments and duties will be consistent with training and experience. Candidates will also be expected to care for COVID positive or suspected positive patients as required and directed. First time travelers : Yes, but must possess an minimum of 2 years Critical Care experience as outlined above.
