The Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization is transforming Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). We are seeking skilled engineers and builders to join our newly established Software Ecosystem Management team. This team is reimagining how we ensure the security, reliability, stability, and performance of software components used across OCI. This is a unique greenfield opportunity to help design and build new cloud services from the ground up. We are growing rapidly, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. Responsibilities

You will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of OCI cloud services. You pay attention to detail, overcome obstacles independently, and know when to seek help. You are technically skilled and get things done. You can balance speed of delivery and quality by using iteration and incremental improvements. You have improved life for developers and have motivated others toward process and service improvements through your ability to automate and instrument services. You understand operational excellence and how to help instill a culture of high quality and customer focus.

Evaluate existing software inventory and metadata management systems, identify inefficiencies and gaps, and design enterprise-grade, comprehensive, and cost-effective solutions.

Analyze and optimize internal tools, processes, and developer workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

Collaborate with service teams to integrate software lifecycle and metadata management tools into CI / CD pipelines.

Build automation systems to streamline communications and remediation tracking to ensure enterprise-wide governance.

Quantify and communicate the impact in not meeting security, compliance, performance, and recency goals.

Develop and implement standardized rule-based triggers for compliance in shared components, libraries, and OS configurations.

Qualifications :

7+ years of distributed service engineering experience in a software development environment.

Experience developing in modern programming languages such as Java, Rust, C++, or C#.

Mastered managing, building and deploying code with tools like with Git, Maven, and IntelliJ.

Hands-on experience designing, developing, and operating public cloud service control or data planes

Hands-on experience in software performance profiling, analysis, and optimization.

Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.

Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.

Good understanding of Linux administration and networking stack configuration

Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment

Experience working closely with architects, principals, product, and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality.

Demonstrable technical leadership and mentorship skills

Preferred Qualifications :

Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Experience driving security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers from inception through launch

Building continuous integration / deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules

Proven experience in building and operating distributed workflow management and reporting systems.

US : Hiring Range in USD from : $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off : Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
