Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring a TX or compact RN license, TNCC, and Epic experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital
  • Level II Trauma Center environment with a 1 : 3 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Night shifts, 7p to 7a, with a block schedule (3x12 hours per week)
  • Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks, including Friday and Saturday nights
  • No floating between units, but may be required to float between sister facilities nearby
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Expected to provide comprehensive emergency care in a fast-paced trauma setting
  • Solid navy blue scrubs are required for licensed RN staff
  • Commitment to work at least 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Must complete pre-start online modules, averaging 16 hours, prior to beginning assignment
  • Return staff policy allows returning after 3 months from previous employment at the facility
  • Free employee and visitor parking available
  • First-time travelers are accepted

  • Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • At least 1 year of recent ER experience is required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
  • Able to work assigned night and weekend shifts as scheduled
  • Compliant background check with no hits on Nursys or background screening
  • Cannot reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for travel eligibility
  • Must provide two supervisory references from within the last three years covering one year of work in a comparable setting
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required
