HR SPECIALIST
GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS GRAND PRAIRIE PLANT
Position Summary : The HR Specialist supports the manufacturing facility by executing HR functions that align with business goals. This role focuses on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and supporting a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with supervisors, managers and union to address employee relations issues and support performance management.
- Coordinate hourly recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes.
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Support training initiatives and employee engagement programs.
- Assist with benefits administration and leave management.
- Participate in safety and compliance audits as needed.
- Assist with recruiting, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Coordinates and conducts training for Lear employees and staff regarding compliance / ethics, Expect Respect, safety, etc.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Maintains the confidentiality of the HR department regarding employee disclosures and issues.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.Highly organized and detail orientedAbility to interact with all levels in the organizationEffectively organize, set priorities, schedule assigned work; oversee multiple and rapidly changing prioritiesEffectively execute tasksHigh Energy with a People-Centered focusUnion experience preferredLear Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse workplace.
