As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Healthcare Facility in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Job Schedule : Day Time
Monday to Friday 05 : 00 AM - 01 : 00 PM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.Interact professionally with staff, patients, and visitors, addressing concerns and providing assistance as needed.Document and report incidents, observations, and / or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, adapting to the unique challenges of a healthcare location while carrying out armed patrol duties.What We're Looking For :

Must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and / or military roles.An Armed Guard Card or License is required.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Must be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
