Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Shift : Nights, 6 : 45pm – 7 : 15am (12-hour shifts)

Duration : 13-week contract

Hours per Week : 36

Call Requirements : 2 x 12-hour call shifts every 6 weeks (one must be a weekend shift)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 depending on acuity

Number of Beds : 13

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

EMR : CPN (GE) and Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital or clinical setting

At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment in Labor & Delivery

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state preferred

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

Experience with CPN & Cerner electronic medical records preferred

Ability to pass an EKG competency assessment

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Monitor and assist laboring patients during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal phases

Communicate effectively with physicians, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections

Triage patients 20 weeks gestation and above

Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training

Delegate patient care tasks and supervise assigned healthcare personnel

Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in delivering safe patient care
