Payroll Processing Assistant
Purpose / Objective : Assists with the payroll processing for the bank and its subsidiaries. Manages the timekeeping system to ensure accuracy and timecard compliance. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations related to payroll processing. Keeps abreast of tax laws and tax implications for all aspects of compensation. Provides back up and support to the AVP, Payroll Manager and the Human Resources team as needed.
Key Accountabilities :
Education : Bachelors degree or equivalent experience - Accounting or payroll courses preferred
Experience : 5+ years of experience processing a multi-state payroll - General Human Resources experience - ADP Payroll experience a plus - Customer service experience
Skills & Knowledge : Flawless attention to detail - Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; general knowledge of computer programs - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality - Excellent communication (verbal / written) and interpersonal skills - Ability to build a collaborative working relationship across departments
