• Position will be trained in at all 3 metro sites (Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Mercy Hospital and United Hospital), and will have the ability to float to these sites to pick up hours and help with staffing coverage wherever needed\n

• No Weekends\n\nJob Description : \nManages patient care infusion encounters by utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. This includes collaborating with multidisciplinary hematology / oncology care team members, along with internal and external ancillary partners, in a fast-paced environment. Dedicated to the growth and development of the Allina Health Cancer Institute, incorporating evidence-based practice initiatives that align with ONS, NCCN, COC, and organizational standards of care.\nPrinciple Responsibilities\n
• Delivery of chemotherapy, biotherapy and supportive care to hematology / oncology patients in accordance with Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards, and Allina Health Cancer Institute Policy.\n
• Complete Patient Assessment and Education.\n
• Collaborate with health care team in order to coordinate and maintain continuity of care.\n
• Administrative tasks including indirect nursing activities which promote quality patient care.\n
• Documentation of care per Allina Health Cancer Institute policies and practice.\n
• Maintain overall accountability / responsibility for assigned patients\n
• Comply with research protocols.\n
• Other duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n
• Associate's or Vocational degree in Nursing. Along with 1 year of ambulatory chemo / biotherapy experience or 3 years inpatient chemo / biotherapy infusion experience\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing\n
• 0 to 2 years Peripheral IV Insertion skills. Or willing to be trained within 60 days of hire\n
• 0 to 2 years Phlebotomy skills. Or willing to be trained within 60 days of hire\n
• 0 to 2 years experience EPIC EMR, including Beacon application. Or willing to be trained at time of hire\n\nLicenses / Certifications\n
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Provider Card required upon completion of Allina onboarding, within 30 days of hire\n
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation must be obtained within 3 years of hire required for those hired before April 1, 2024; for those hired on / after April 1, 2024, must obtain within 30 months\n
• Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required\n
• Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below : \n? Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association\n? Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross\n? Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)\n\nPhysical Demands\n

• Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally ( Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently\n\nPay Range\n\nPay Range : $41.98 to $58.08 per hour\n\nThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
