Job Description
You support the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by running great work shifts and meeting Popeyes standards. You take ownership and responsibility to solve problems, seek help when needed and are willing to help and guide others. Key responsibilities include making sure Team Members complete all assigned duties and serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner. You'll also ensure that the restaurant is a safe place for Team Members to work and customers to visit.

- Following cash, security, inventory and labor policies and procedures.
Description of role :
Assign tasks to all associates on station in the restaurant and ensure they are completedEnsure all checklists, including Department of Health (DOH), opening and closing, are carried out dailyAssist vendors and maintain inventoryControl payroll and ensure correct staffing levels are metTrain new hires and issue on the spot training as neededCommunicate any issues in restaurant to management teamEnsure all staff are in correct dress codeObserve the floor and making sure the business is running effectively and smoothlySupervise policies and procedures as per New York State Labor Laws and Department of Health procedures / standardsPerform opening and closing proceduresFollow all money handling procedures and issue register auditsSupervise staff breaksAssist with supervision of the bar operation, staff and inventoryProactively respond to the needs of the business and ensure the smooth running of the restaurant and complete additional tasks as needed (i.e. arrange coverage for call outs)Communicate any issues to manager on duty in the absence of managementEnsure all inventory is dated, rotated and stored correctlyEnsure the quality of the products served meet the standards of Popeyes. This includes standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and proceduresAbility to effectively prepare food during scheduled shift and have the ability to anticipate and prepare to high volumes of customersAbility to maintain a clean and sanitary work station, including tables, shelves, grills, convection oven and refrigeration equipmentAbility to portion food products prior to cooking in accordance with standard portion sizes and recipe specificationsAbility to consistently follow proper plate presentation and garnish set-up for all dishesAbility to handle, prepare, store and rotate all food and products according to company and Department of Health (DOH) standardsAbility to assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods, as neededExtensive knowledge of menuAbility to perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager On DutyContribute to a positive work environment by consistently treating all employees and customers with respectWork well in a fast paced environment with ability to adapt to ever changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgencyConsistently and accurately use daily and nightly prep sheets, cleanliness and station checklistsAbility to clean equipment as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely manner, in accordance with sanitation guidelinesAbility to effectively make recommendations and sell productsEnsure that customers are satisfied with their experienceLiaise with management and supervisors with any service issues encountered to ensure excellent customer service is metFollow all company policies, procedures and Department of Health guidelinesSkills and requirements :
Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skillsUnderstanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling proceduresAbility to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work a fully flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends and holidays is a MUSTAvailability to work the hours necessary to open and / or close the storeStrong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skillsThe incumbent must be very energeticMust possess a high threshold for ambiguity and changeAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAppreciation of Popeyes unique culture, entrepreneurial attitude, heritage and passion for its products.Must have 2-3 years management experience.Work schedule :
