Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join a small critical access hospital that provides care across the ER, acute care, and long-term care settings. This rural facility does not have separate units—RNs are expected to cover all areas as needed. Candidates without an active Hawaii RN license must apply immediately upon offer acceptance and must hold the license by the start of the assignment.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care across ER, acute, and LTC areas
  • Cover the ER primarily; assist other units when ER census is low
  • Administer medications and perform procedures for LTC and acute care patients
  • Deliver patient-centered care in a small, rural hospital setting
  • Adapt to a multi-unit workflow and support diverse patient needs

    • Schedule :

  • 6×12-hour shifts (72 hours) per two-week period
  • Every 3rd weekend off
  • Latex-free accommodations are not available

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
  • Active Hawaii RN license (or willingness to apply upon acceptance)
  • Current BLS / BCLS certification

    • Additional Information :

  • Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the assignment begins to complete employee health on Friday
  • Holiday coverage required
  • EMR system : EPIC
  • Minimum experience : 2 years
