Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of building and plant equipment. You will work collaboratively to determine maintenance priorities and assist the production team with setups and changeovers. Your expertise will contribute to minimizing production interruptions and maximizing uptime.
Responsibilities
- Assist the production team with setups and changeovers, supporting operations as needed.
- Execute a preventative maintenance schedule for the upkeep of machines and facilities equipment utilizing the Fiix CMMS.
- Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize interference with production operations and maximize uptime.
- Use preventative maintenance techniques to detect future malfunctions and diagnose issues.
- Install new or repaired parts according to specifications and blueprints.
- Maintain records of issues and maintenance completed on machines using the CMMS.
- Respond quickly to production line calls and resolve issues promptly, communicating progress to managers / supervisors as appropriate.
- Perform skilled assembly, repairs, and maintenance operations using equipment such as hand and power tools, hydraulic presses and shears, and welding equipment.
- Follow standards for food safety and food quality production according to GMP, CFR, as well as regulations of major customers and governmental agencies such as OSHA, FDA, and EPA.
- Comply with all safety and quality regulations, reporting issues immediately to supervisor.
- Report food safety problems to supervisor or the SQF Practitioner upon observation of a known or potential issue.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.50 / hr.
