Job Description

A well-established and expanding law firm in NJ is seeking a Financial Services, Restructuring & Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join its financial and lending practice team. This position offers exposure to a wide range of corporate, real estate, and restructuring matters, providing opportunities to work collaboratively with senior attorneys and gain hands-on experience in complex transactions. The firm values mentorship, teamwork, and delivering client-focused solutions across multiple practice areas.

Employment Type : Full-Time Permanent

Practice Area : Banking & Financial Services, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights, and Real Estate

Location : Roseland, NJ (hybrid - 4 days in-office & 1 day remote after 90 days)

Billing Requirement : 1,800 hours annually

Interview Process : Candidate is required to provide a Law School Transcript and a Resume

What you’ll do :

• Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for secured lending and commercial loans.
• Assist clients with restructuring strategies, forbearance agreements, and distressed asset management.
• Provide support on bankruptcy filings and act on behalf of creditors in negotiations and plan confirmations.
• Conduct due diligence and support transactional work in corporate acquisitions, real estate deals, and lending arrangements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth execution of client matters and effective workflow in a hybrid work environment.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
