Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) is a unified threat management (UTM) solution that integrates Cisco's ASA (Adaptive Security Appliance) firewall capabilities with Firepower next-generation intrusion prevention system (NGIPS), advanced malware protection (AMP), and URL filtering. It is part of Cisco's Secure Firewall lineup and is managed via Firepower Management Center (FMC) or Firepower Device Manager (FDM).
