Responsibilities Work in a mixed medical-surgical ICU within a hospital setting Patient population includes medical and surgical cases such as joint replacements and general surgery patients, including COVID-19 patients 11 beds allocated for COVID-19 patients, with additional rooms for other cases 12-hour night shifts required Work 2 weekends out of every 4, with assigned days based on shift schedule Rotation on holidays required, including Thanksgiving Must be willing to float to nearby locations in Stevens Point, Plover, and Riverview No regular on-call or call-back requirements Responsible for caring for medical, surgical, and COVID-19 patients in an ICU setting Must effectively handle a dynamic patient care environment and manage change well Strong teamwork and communication skills are highly valued Dark blue scrubs are required Will not accommodate more than 7 days of requested time off; must be available to work on Thanksgiving No radius rule applies to candidate eligibility Eligible for up to 36 non-billable low census hours if placed on call for low census First-time travelers are not eligible; prior travel experience is required Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required Certifications required : BLS and ACLS Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required Must have Med / Surg and recent travel nursing experience Competence in providing care to both ICU and Med / Surg patients Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625690.
