ICU Registered Nurse

Must-Have :

• Care of Ventilated Patients
• Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
• Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan Ganz Monitoring
• Ventilator Management

Description :

Position requires floating between units as needed.

On-call is not required.

Weekends are required, every other weekend or sometimes more.

Block schedules are not necessary.

Expected patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2.

Must have a vehicle for this assignment.

Travelers may be required to float to other units based on their skill sets.

Facilities may provide notice when floating to another location.

Daily census for the unit is approximately 24 patients with 36 total beds.

Support teams include IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more.

Interventions include continuous monitoring of ECG rhythms, oxygen saturation, and cardiac output.

Administration of vasoactive intravenous medications and continuous renal replacement therapy is required.

All travelers should be prepared to float to other facilities as needed.

Failure to float when required may result in assignment termination.

Candidates should possess required skills and experience for the position.

References are required covering previous work experience.

Completion of modules prior to start is necessary.

Candidates must commit to working 3 out of the 5 major holidays.

All requests for time off must be submitted up front.
