Position Summary
The ideal candidate will report to the Tax Department Manager of Operations and collaborate closely with other tax staff, partners, and department managers. We are looking for someone with strong technical skills who is dedicated to becoming an MTA for our clients. The candidate will actively improve departmental processes, participate in training and development for team members, and support the firm's growth by embracing our various service initiatives. Our tax staff thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment, and we value teamwork and continuous improvement.
The tax staff will interact with various service departments and the administration team. This position involves direct client interaction throughout the year and offers the opportunity to quickly advance to a Client Service Manager (CSM) role. As a CSM, you will develop and implement tax services for clients and identify additional ways to assist with their needs.

Be able to prepare more complex entity-level and individual tax returns, including multi-state, consolidated, foreign bank reporting, etc.Ability to review less complex tax returns prepared by staff and outsourced providers.Fundamental understanding of tax law and ability to provide client recommendations for possible tax-saving opportunitiesAbility to perform fundamental tax researchAddress government agency's tax notificationsAbility to prepare Trust Tax returnsClient Service
Client interaction and liaison for various tax projects, including gathering appropriate information and resolving tax-related problems and noticesAbility to review and identify tax planning opportunitiesProvide continuous tax return process during the year by interacting with clients and staying current on changes to the client's tax situationProvide superior service to our clients such that the clients provide referrals to their friends and colleagues.Training and Personnel

Successful applicants will have a minimum of 2-4 years' experience preparing tax returns in a CPA firm.
