Vision System Engineer

We are currently seeking a Vision System Engineer for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing.

This is a long-term Contractor r ole based in Vance, AL that requires onsite presence.

PURPOSE :

• Under general supervision this position plans and implements the Assembly Shop equipment changes necessary to accommodate changes to processes, product, or build scenarios.
• This position will perform the necessary feasibility analysis, execute project justifications, and plan projects from concept through handover to operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Ensure plant training needs are met in specifications Create initial milestones for the project and estimated project costs Create production startup support plan Coordinate design reviews with the project stakeholders to include all project aspects Coordinate with IPS to define supplier list Receive and compare quotations from potential suppliers in conjunction with IPS Create Purchase Requisitions Work with IPS on awarding process, including justifications Define buyoff documentation package required Strategy / Target development :

Project implementation :

Work with Facilities Planning for demo or de-commissioning activities to ensure all aspects are considered, Lead Commissioning and Buyoff Process – ensure all stakeholders are included and right documentation is utilized, and punch lists are maintained Ensure all plant training needs are met and on time Project Validation :

Evaluate manufacturing equipment capabilities against future build ratio changes and update planning accordingly Ensure final documentation for buyoffs is completed per the timeline Maintain regular communication to TOC / other plants to stay up to speed on upcoming technologies, Handover equipment to quality, production, and maintenance QUALIFICATIONS :

REQUIRED SKILLS :

Work experience within OEM in equipment and tooling related issues Experience in project management and in leading problem solving groups Knowledge in system applications such as SAP, CAD Experience with Keyence Vision Systems in a manufacturing environment German Language proficiency Measurement system analysis experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
