TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER / Trauma RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106!

$2,198 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Emergency Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years, Level 1 Trauma experience preferred

License : NM license can pend at time of submission

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC before submission)

Must-Have :

  • Previous travel experience strongly preferred
  • COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions accepted with proof
  • License can pend at the time of submission

Description :

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.

The shift will be overnight, 3 times a week, for 12 hours each shift.

Approximately 60%-80% of patients in the Emergency Department are admitted.

Many of the ED rooms are designated as "ED Holding."

Travelers with 2+ years of Level 1 experience may be considered.

The nurse will be involved in medication administration, including IV medication management.

Documentation and communication of clinical findings are essential.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 5.

Float to Adult Progressive Care Units (PCUs) is an expectation based on staffing needs.

Floating to Pediatric ED may be optional.

Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed.

Weekend shifts include Saturday, Sunday, and nights on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC.

Bar Code Medication scanning is an expectation for all staff.

Travelers will work with a diverse group of interdisciplinary support services.

Comprehensive stroke center certification is a requirement.

The daily census typically ranges from 170 to 200 patients.

The Emergency Department is involved in handling various types of trauma cases.

Previous charge experience is preferred.

Drug screens will be required to be completed within a specified time frame.

No RTO can be requested during the first week of the contract or on the last day.

Travelers should ensure that any vacation time or scheduling conflicts are communicated ahead of time.
