What success looks like in this role :
The Director of Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability will play a key role in advancing the company's EHS&S practices. The role will be responsible for leading and managing the global EHS&S programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards. The Director will work closely with leadership, operational teams and regional EHS managers to promote a culture of safety and sustainability across all global operations. This role requires an individual who will serve as a trusted advisor, who develops and leads the strategic direction of EHS&S as well as defines key business objectives and delivers on commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- In partnership with leadership, develops the organization's long-term strategy across Environmental, Health & Safety, Security and Sustainability.
- Leads the EHS&S team providing guidance, support and career development opportunities.
- Provides strategic leadership, technical expertise and support for all environmental, employee health and safety, physical security, crisis management and sustainability initiatives.
- Remains up to date on new and emerging legislation across EHS&S, assesses the relative impact to the organization and implements plans to comply.
- Plans, develops and presents organization wide ESH&S policies, procedures and guidance.
- Ensures emergency response and crisis management plans are in place and are regularly tested.
- Oversees administration of the workers' compensation program and associated monitoring and reporting.
- Responsible for the direction, oversight and reporting of environmental remediation efforts, in line with current regulations and quarterly financial reporting on matters including reserve liabilities.
- Key liaison across the organization for all EHS&S matters and interacts across internal functions to insure effective management of intervention procedures.
- Leads company communications on sustainability. Keeps leadership and internal stakeholders informed of new developments and / or progress against our ESG goals.
- Maintains high caliber materials on ESG strategy and governance and oversees the development of the annual sustainability report.
- Manage and report on the organization's sustainability performance according to relevant frameworks and standards.
- Develop, monitor, analyze and report on EHS&S key performance metrics
- Develops risk mitigation strategies to minimize workplace hazards and regularly conducts risk assessments.
- Leads the development of capital plans, budget plans, and forecasts, including cost efficiency efforts in partnership with finance groups and vendors associated with the ESH&S function.

Key Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related experience and 6+ years of management experience10+ years of experience developing and implementing environmental, health and safety, security and sustainability strategies.Deep understanding of state, federal and global environmental and sustainability regulations.Technical experience in Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon reporting.Expertise in Global ESG elated disclosures and industry trends.Demonstrated strength in solving complex problems, developing strategies aligned to business requirements and ability to analyze and leverage data to develop innovative solutions.Ability to multi-task in a collaborative, fast paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization and management and ability to build broad external networks.Experience in corporate social responsibility is preferred.LI-TG-1
