Facilities Maintenance Technician
We are hiring a full-time, year-round Facilities and Maintenance Technician for Oceanwood Camp & Conference Center in beautiful Ocean Park, ME. This position is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and repair of the overall facilities and grounds as well as new projects or improvements to the physical site.

Just a three-block walk to the beach and surrounded by woods, it's an ideal setting to relax, recharge, and rejuvenate. We are a four-season camp and offer retreats, events, and custom experiences all year round.

Pay : $22-$25 / Hour based on experience and quality of candidate

Key Functions / Responsibilities :
- General building and grounds maintenance includes without limitation, physically performing minor carpentry, cleaning, electrical, furniture / equipment assembly, landscaping, masonry, painting, plumbing, snow removal (including plowing), supply and inventory control, and event preparations.
- Responsible for the proper operation and documentation all building systems, to include without limitation, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, emergency lighting and signage, emergency egress, building access control, monitoring and recording, fuel distribution, generators, communications, disposal, sanitary, domestic water, plumbing, electric, heating, cooling, and ventilation.
- Inspects building envelope including masonry, concrete, waterproofing, glazing, fire escapes, roofing, building entry and access, and other physical construction components and systems for structural and physical integrity.
- The Facilities Maintenance Technician has a dotted line responsibility to the Executive Director and will work in collaboration with all departments on campus (culinary, retreats, cleaning, admin).
- Landscaping : Understands the basics of soil, water, and topography. Understands basics of water flow underground, drainage, and keep lawns and fields green.
- Small engines : Can fix and maintain small engines and tools such as mowers, weed-whackers, and power hand tools.
- Can safely operate cars, trucks, dump trucks, tractors. Can tow a heavy trailer. Can operate a snow plow.
- Can safely operate power tools (drills, nail guns, etc.), and large shop machines (table saws, drill presses, bandsaws, planer, jointer, etc.).
- Can safely operate a chainsaw (full safety equipment, chainsaw maintenance and sharpening).
- Budget management : Keep track and manage budgets in the areas of grounds, buildings, and capital projects.
Education and license :
High School Diploma required; advanced degree preferred.Must have a valid Driver's License and access to personal vehicle to use for work.Employment is contingent on clear background checkExperience :
Experience in facilities management / maintenance.
