Summary :
The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for continuously monitoring and adapting safety procedures and operations to ensure a safe and fully complaint work environment for all employees.
Responsibilities :
- Develops and implements safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions by performing the following duties.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates programs and procedures to ensure personnel and facility safety.
- Monitors and controls company's safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.
- Develops and implements a program and system to track and evaluate worker injuries.
- Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.
- Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
- Evaluates human activities working with new machinery and equipment to identify hazards.
- Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities; to identify and correct potential hazards; and to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determines requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds, and installs, or directs installation of, safety devices on machinery.
- Conducts or coordinates safety and first aid training to educate workers about safety policies, laws, and practices.
- Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
- Inspect, test and evaluate the safety and quality standards and expectations of products and production equipment.
- Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that products meet all safety and quality and testing requirements, including operating internal testing labs, and ongoing outsources certified testing.
- Prepare, review, and issue environmental and health-related permits in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of all issued permits.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive emergency response plans for the plant, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Design and deliver training programs for all plant personnel on emergency procedures, safety protocols, and the use of emergency equipment.

Qualifications / Experience :
BA is advantage.Relevant training certifications5+ years manufacturing safety4+ years' experience in safety and health program managementExpert understanding of OSHA, and knowledge local safety laws, and other regulatory agenciesSound / Ethical judgment, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independentlyCPR / First Aid CertifiedProficient in MS OfficeBilingual in Spanish - Advantage30% Travel required
