• Employment Type : Travel\n\nSurgical Technologist - CVOR\nLocation\n\nReston, VA\nAssignment Duration\n\nThis is a 13-week contract position.\nSchedule\n\nShifts will vary; primarily 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM M-Th, and 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM M-F.\nJob Description\n\nThe Surgical Technologist will work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and will be responsible for providing assistance during open-heart procedures including CABG, MVR, TVR, AVR, VATS, and vascular procedures. The role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to potential issues, and a strong emphasis on teamwork.\nResponsibilities\n
• Prepare the operating room prior to procedures, including room set-up and turnover.\n
• Assist in scrub or circulate procedures.\n
• Obtain disposables and instrument sets as needed.\n
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with sterile field management.\n
• Set up and operate Belmont, cell saver, and central line equipment.\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.\n
• CNOR certification is preferred.\n
