Duty Schedule :

On-Site – Tsaile Main Campus. Weekly schedule including weekends and after hours upon need.

Summary / Objective of Position :

Candidate shall perform all duties of a faculty member faithfully and satisfactorily in accordance with the highest level of professional standards and shall perform the duties and responsibilities at the same level of professionalism as set forth by the Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual and also written in the position description provided by the college.

• Teaching responsibilities include time spent in the classroom and laboratory;
• Maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught;
• Preparing teaching materials, conferring with students on course materials;
• Directing research and developing portfolios;
• Directing group studies / practicum experience;
• Assessing written examinations and papers;
• Supervising independent study projects;
• Supervising field experience / student teaching experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

Minimum :

MA in Early Childhood Education

Preferred :

EdD or PhD

Knowledge :

Knowledge of the most current trends, issues, innovations, and practices in the field of expertise, including teaching modalities, teaching strategies, syllabi management, curriculum development and management, assessment management, and lesson planning.

Knowledge of early childhood physical growth and development such as cognitive growth and development, social-emotional growth and development, and physical development such as gross and fine motor skills.

Skills :

Effective computer skills, online teaching skills, classroom management skills, oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and collegiately in a small, highly active, dedicated, and supportive group of colleagues.

Abilities :

Ability to tailor lesson plans to fit different learning styles of students with varying backgrounds and experiences.

Ability to build, maintain, and manage courses in the Canvas Learning Management System.

Ability to develop, explain, and enforce educational policies.

Ability to work with people from divergent cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Physical Requirements, Work Environment & Travel :

Faculty shall be able to travel to worksites of assignments at multiple campuses.

Other Requirement(s) :

Possess a valid driver's license.
