Production Manager

Production Manager reports to the Plant Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSILITIES

• Responsible for the efficient performance of up to 70 employees.
• Responsible for monitoring and tracking quality of each employee's performance and collaborates with HR for corrective action or performance related issues.
• 75% of the Production Manager's time will be spent on the production floor.
• Maintains a clean production environment ensuring GMPs and SOPs are followed at all times.
• Responsible for ensuring food safety, employee safety and product quality are in place, line efficiency, waste, downtime, and labor are to company standards.
• Assists machine operators and other key positions during start up and changeovers. Starts and sets all processing equipment prior to start time.
• Performs Operations Checklist hourly. Completes daily Production Reports and other reports as directed by Plant Manager.
• Must be able to communicate and work effectively with supporting departments to achieve B&W goals and sustain the level of food safety and product quality per B&W standards.
• A positive attitude, willingness and initiative to get the job done and motivate subordinates.
• Expected to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in a safe manner and per the standard set by B & W.

COMMUNICATION SKILL LEVEL

COMPUTER SKILLS – Basic. Should have a basic knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
