Shift : Evening Shift (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)
The Quality Control Technician is a vital resource who ensures the highest quality product for our customers. They collaborate with production teams to maintain quality-assurance processes, test products, analyze data, and verify product quality throughout development and manufacturing. They also play a key role in establishing a culture of quality within the organization.
- Perform in-process inspections and control for all production steps, including but not limited to mixing, wax, lacquer, sizing, conditioning, inspection, and slitting.
- Ensures adherence to best practices and quality standards.
- Supports companywide quality initiatives and monitors production efficiency via standardized testing.
- Identifies potential issues through testing and works to improve overall quality.
- Communicate inspection and test results and recommend running parameter changes to relevant personnel (Quality Supervisor / Managers, Departmental Supervisors / Managers).
- Generate and organize proper quality documentation.
- Define, collaborate on, and internally communicate corrective and preventative actions.
- Assist in investigating quality issues arising during production or from customer feedback; investigate root causes using appropriate methodologies for corrective actions.
- Identify and prevent recurring quality issues through investigation and implementation of corrective actions.
- Crosstrain and perform inspection operations as assigned.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment.

Skills and Abilities
Effective communication : Collaborate clearly with integrated team / department to ensure consist a workflow. Ability to provide clear written Communication of inspection.Math skills : Utilize basic math skills for tasks like interpreting production specificationsQuality control : Possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to distinguish colors precisely to conduct thorough quality inspections. Good understanding of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) concepts.Safety compliance : Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to respirator requirements as per OSHA standards.Physical abilities : Meet the physical demands of the role.Technical skills : Possess basic computer skills to operate production related software and maintain digital records.Continuous improvement : Maintain a process optimization mindset.Experience and Education
High School Diploma or GED.2+ years of experience in a Quality Control position, or an equivalent mix of education and experience in a manufacturing / production environment.Basic understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Familiarity with SAP / Microsoft Office.
