Position Summary :

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) is a skilled and dedicated healthcare professional responsible for providing basic and limited advanced emergency medical care to patients in the pre-hospital environment. Working under the supervision of a Paramedic or Medical Director, the AEMT performs patient assessments, administers certain medications, and executes various medical interventions. This role is vital for bridging the gap between basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS), ensuring a higher level of care can be initiated swiftly to stabilize patients during transport.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Patient Care and Assessment :

Responds to emergency calls and performs rapid, systematic patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of illness or injury.

Assists in the safe and efficient operation of emergency vehicles, including navigation and proper use of warning devices.

Works collaboratively with EMTs and Paramedics to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
