Job description

Job Title : Engineering Technician

Duration : 12 Months

Location : San Diego, CA

Shift : 48

Days : Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday

Time : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM

Hours : 36.0 / 48.0 Weekly / 12-hour day

Education Requirements :

  • Minimum : High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred : Associate's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics

Experience Requirements :

  • Minimum : 2+ years in basic electrical / electronics engineering, electronics or RF testing, or related experience
  • Preferred :

    • 1+ years in a large matrixed organization

  • 2+ years in the semiconductor or related industry
  • 2+ years with general computer skills and Microsoft applications

    • Top 5 Required Skills :

  • Communication and use of business communication tools
  • Coordination with direct and indirect team members
  • Following written and oral directions
  • Keeping pace with a changing work environment
  • Emotional intelligence

    • Job Responsibilities :

  • Measurement and Equipment :

    • Set up and maintain benches, testers, and other equipment with minimal supervision

  • Install, upgrade, and configure moderately complex equipment and components
  • Perform measurements and produce necessary documentation
  • Monitor equipment performance and analyze failures or malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repair work, rework, removal, and modifications to equipment
  • Testing :

    • Set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods

  • Document test results and maintain malfunction records
  • Execute test plans and provide input on test cases and procedures
  • Reproduce and debug moderately complex issues
  • Data and Information Analysis :

    • Conduct analyses to identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose simple technical issues

  • Gather and integrate data and information from stakeholders to understand specifications and develop solutions
  • Collaboration :

    • Collaborate with team members and other teams to complete project work

    Physical Requirements :

  • Monitor and utilize computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day
