Overview
The EC&TT position exists to oversee and monitor emissions compliance and telemetry connectivity for power generation equipment on rent throughout the Rockies region. This person will be responsible for taking weekly emissions catalyst readings (DP and temp), reporting them to the customer and ensuring all engines are tuned and ready to pass emissions tests. This person will also be responsible for ensuring that all telemetry equipment is installed properly, reporting correctly and in working condition at all times.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safety-first culture that protects Baseline employees and customers. This includes attending customer safety meetings, auditing Field Service safety practices, and verifying that work meets Baseline and customer standards.
- Take weekly catalyst readings for differential pressure (DP) and temperature.
- Input readings into a spreadsheet and send to customers weekly.
- Change out catalyst tiles if readings are out of tolerance (±2" water column).
- Perform engine tuning and spot checks on engines scheduled for emissions testing; adjust engine parameters and controller settings to ensure testing compliance.
- Install Baseline telematics on all units; connect gateways and verify data reporting with the control room; install directional antennas or dual SIM gateways if needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial natural gas generators (5.7L to 21.9L) at customer locations. Typical maintenance items include monthly oil changes, spark plug changes, oil and air filters, valve adjustments, battery checks, and radiator washing.
- Mobilize and demobilize generators to and from well sites; drive to customer sites regularly.
- Respond to callouts / alarms on a 24 / 7 basis; work may include night shifts and weekend calls.
- Communicate professionally and efficiently with customers (production foremen, pumpers, etc.) when issues arise.
- Maintain sufficient parts inventory to meet planned and unplanned needs.
