Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in McAllen, Texas.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - ED

Job Details :

  • Work in a 12-bed freestanding emergency department
  • Patient ratio of 1 : 4
  • Must have at least 2 years of adult / pediatric ER experience
  • Spanish speaking preferred
  • Previous experience with Meditech EMR preferred
  • Day shift staffing includes 2 RNs at 7AM (1 charge) and 1 mid RN
  • Night shift staffing includes 2 RNs at 7PM (1 charge) and 1 mid RN
  • Required to work every other weekend and as needed
  • May float to other freestanding EDs if necessary
  • Perform typical ED procedures including orthopedic splints, wound irrigation, IV / Foley insertion, and EKGs
  • Point of care labs with adequate training provided
  • Use general ED equipment including Baxter IV pumps, SonoSite, bladder scanner
  • Work with Meditech EMR system
  • Must be flexible, willing to be a team member and assist peers when needed
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI
  • Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
