Overview : As the Production Manager (Landscape Manager), you'll kick off each day by reviewing the schedule and ensuring that trucks and crews are equipped with all necessary supplies and tools. You'll organize the day by assigning tasks, managing equipment maintenance & repair systems, and handling service calls while keeping a close eye on logistics and communications with the leadership team. You will play a key role is designing the landscape and related work, along with preparing time and material estimates for the work. This is a hands-on role that requires a minimum of 2 days per week working alongside crews to ensure training and production goals are met. Success in the Production Manager role is measured by productive crews, quality work, and satisfied customers.
Key Accountabilities :
- Coordinate, dispatch, & closeout teams / equipment / shop on daily basis
Schedule jobs
- Work order completion
- Accountable for quality control, customer satisfaction & retention
- Ensure all fleet & equipment is properly tracked, maintained
- Lead and manage the field teams
Min. 2 days per week working with crews
- Backfill as needed
- Train & develop team members
- Identify and develop next-level talent internally
- Meet company service delivery efficiency goals
Complete all documentation for Job Costing (As needed)
- Meet or exceed Daily Production goals
- Lead & Expand Residential Landscape Enhancements & Irrigation Repairs
Design
- Lead & Manage Landscape Installation
Technical Knowledge, Experience, & Skills :
- Intermediate level of Landscaping experience (FNGLA Certified)
- Intermediate knowledge of Residential Irrigation troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience managing 10+ field team employees
- Horticulture knowledge
- Capable of driving a truck towing a 20ft trailer
- Bilingual (Eng / Spanish) a plus
- Project Planning and Management
- Ability to manage a schedule of 200+ recurring jobs across 5 or more field teams
- Pruning techniques
- Turf Management
- Knowledge of Native plants & ecosystems
- Ability to handle small hand and power tools
- Ability to handle equipment such as Commercial Mowers, Chippers, Tractors, Loaders, Chainsaws, Skid Steers, etc
- Basic knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers and related regulations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Small engine maintenance
- Basic Knowledge of routing and logistics
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations for landscaping and outdoor labor
- Best Management Practices (BMP) Certification
- Ability to use computer and mobile technology
