Maintenance Supervisor

General Purpose :

Performs a variety of general managerial and supervisory duties as needed to coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities in Washington City.

Supervision Received :

Works under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

Supervision Exercised :

Provides direction and general supervision to maintenance staff when Maintenance Manager is not present.

Essential Functions :

• Frequently inspects facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommends t he necessary repair or maintenance needed.
• Provides support and advice during staff hiring and helps ensure proper training of new and existing staff.
• Assists with maintenance employee schedules.
• Works closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to make sure all jobs are completed to our standards.
• Occasionally inspects the quality of performed maintenance work.
• Generates work orders, enters job details, and assigns work orders to the appropriate maintenance staff.

1. Education and Experience :

High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Work Environment :

Work may require lifting, reaching, carrying up to 50 lbs. And moving items that may exceed 80lbs using team lifting techniques.
