Dept :   Float Pool - Mercy South

Hours : Part-Time, 24 hours / week

Shift :   variety of shifts, including :

6 : 30a-2 : 30p

2 : 30p-6 : 30p

6 : 30p-10 : 30p

10 : 30p-6 : 30a

All Care Companion roles are a flat rate of $15.00 / hr

Overview :

Under the supervision of an RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), provides close observation of patients. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Promotes the therapeutic environment and the efficiency of the nursing team. Can provide safe patient transport throughout the facility as directed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications :

Education : High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA / CPCT certification or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and / or a current co-worker of Mercy.

Other : Working conditions, mental and physical requirements : Ability to sit for long periods of time remaining alert without distractions from personal business or other personal diversions. Occasional standing and walking.

Preferred Certifications : BLS, optional to obtain after hire
